Troubleshooting black screen issues on HP Notebooks: Click here to view the instructions!

Notebook 14in. X0U01PA#ABG
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My photographs all display as washed out, including those I have edited in an over-the-top manner.

However, other websites imagery look very good!

I have checked the AMD Radeon settings, but cannot work out which section therein is the one to adjust, if that is possible.

Perhaps it needs to be corrected within the PC's BIOS settings.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Hello Chimney_83. Thank you for your response and suggestions. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I haven't been well.

Firstly, my AMD Radeon graphics card driver is uptodate. I checked again today.

Secondly, the above image shows the color management settings after I set it up.

Initially, when I went into that setting, the Devices Profiles associated with this device was empty.

I clicked the Add button below that box and added the sRGB profile, as you can see. It is specifically for the Display.

I ticked the Use my settings for this device.

The Display Resolution and True Color are as they should be, and I changed the Refresh rate to 40Hz. Only other choice is 60Hz which was the default setting.

My images look good now, and I can see the differences made with my editing. Yay.

It also has 'clarified' images in general, especially when web surfing. An overall improvement.

I did not use the Support Assistant. Sorry! :LaughingTears:

Greetings @jmndotme

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that the colors on your notebook's display are not clear, is that right?

Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.

The issue you are facing seems to be a graphics driver issue.

Recommend you run HP Support Assistant on your computer to make sure all the drivers are updated. Click here

If the issue persists, refer to this HP Article to adjust the display settings on your computer.

Keep me posted.
