Hi @Mammabear82

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

As I understand, touchscreen drivers are missing.

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you. That said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

When was the last time it worked fine?

Were there any hardware/software changes made?

I have a few steps that should resolve your concern:

I recommend checking if the Touch is working on BIOS (accessed by tapping on F10 while restarting the computer).

If it works on bios, it's a software issue. Update the drivers from the HP Website

If the issue persists: please reinstall windows using the recovery partition or the recovery media to fix the issue

Attempt to run a test using the HP hardware diagnostic tool

Let us update your Windows using Windows Update and check.

In Windows, search for and open Check for updates. If there are any available updates, they begin automatically.

After the updates install, restart your computer when prompted.

In the video link below you will see how to update drivers and software using Windows Update.

If this solution hit the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Regards,
