Whenever i press Ctrl or Shift button during a play back of audio or video wether it is on browser or in the media player. My audio/video gets paused each time i press that button. I tried everything from the settings, I played with sticky keys but nothing helped, This is really frustrating i really need to use shortcuts and this makes it alot harder. Please do let me know a fix for it. NOTE: I RECENTLLY REINSTALLED WINDOWS AND ALSO RESET IT BUT IT DIDNT GET FIXED

Hi @Abdul-Muhaymin,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems that you're experiencing an issue with your HP Notebook 15 where pressing the Ctrl or Shift buttons during audio or video playback is causing some unexpected behavior. To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps.
- Update your audio and video drivers: Outdated drivers can sometimes cause compatibility issues. Visit the official HP support website and download the latest drivers for your notebook model.
- Disable sticky keys: Sticky keys can modify the behavior of certain keys when pressed in combination with Ctrl, Shift, or other keys. To disable sticky keys, press the Shift key five times in quick succession or go to the Control Panel > Ease of Access > Ease of Access Center > Make the keyboard easier to use, and uncheck the "Turn on Sticky Keys" option.
- Check for conflicting software: Some third-party applications or multimedia software might interfere with the keyboard inputs during media playback. Try closing any background applications that may be running, especially those related to multimedia or keyboard shortcuts.
- Test in a different media player: Try playing the audio or video in a different media player to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is specific to a particular player or a more general issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
