First thing, I was going to set up a call to have this issue and did the process, but didn't realise there was a fee for it? Anywaya is there a way I can cancel it since I'd rather not get a call and have to pay for the help?
The Actual Problem Below
So, for the past 24 hours, my cursor has jumped around my screen at random intervals and spammed clicked several times, occasionally opening or removing things from my taskbar (it seems to favor jumping down to the bottom of the screen and spamming the 2nd item on my taskbar.
Sometimes, if I attempted to move the cursor, it would jump right back to the area and continue clicking. It's beginning to affect my work, so I need the issue to be solved soon.
Some things to know:
When I tried to move the cursor, I would use my USB mouse, my touchpad, and my wacom drawing tablet.
I read about someone having a similiar issue and it was concluded that it might be a touch screen issue? (As my laptop uses touch screen). Don't know if that's 100% of the case, but it might be?
I have the HP Hardware Diagnostic app and there isn't a touch screen option available to test?
The last time my laptop updated was today.

@Shootingstar359
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
apologize for the inconvenience caused, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue before escalating the case.
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
- Do external mouse and keyword works?
Firstly, let's perform Hard Reset: Follow steps from the link: https://hp.care/2GnkMa8.
Next, step BIOS default:
- Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
- Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
- On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
- Press F10 to Save and Exit.
- Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
- Follow the prompts to restart your computer.
Perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant:
To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.
Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.
- To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon
.
- Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
- Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
- Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
- Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
- Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
