HP Envy x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop is new out of the box, nothing pre-installed but netflix, and yet my cursor keeps jumping to the top right corner of the screen (specifically, where the minimise window button is).

A quick fix I found was disabling the active pen in the device manager, but I do want to use the active pen at some point, so I don't see this as a permanent solution.

I've looked at similar problems, and haven't found a solution to mine.

Is this a known problem with HP 360 laptops?

Is there a hotfix I can use?

Is this a hardware issue?

Your time is appreciated.

Welcome to HP Forums,

Let's get straight to it!

I recommend you upgrade the BIOS and the Chipset drivers to resolve the issue,

You may use the HP website for further assistance: Click here to find and install the above.

I also suggest you enable the active pen and check if the issue persists while using an alternate/external mouse.

Depending on the results, uninstall and reinstall the drivers for your mouse:

Go to the Device Manager and select your mouse. Uninstall it and then restart your computer. During restart, your mouse driver will automatically be reinstalled.

  • 1.   Click on Start and type ‘Device Manager’.
  • 2.   Click Device Manager.
  • 3.   Click + sign next to Mouse.
  • 4.   Right-click on mouse entry and choose "uninstall".
  • 5.   Restart your computer.

Keep me posted, as I (Or a trusted colleague) shall follow-up on this case to ensure the concern has been addressed,

And your device is up and running again, only in case you don't get back to us, first!

that said, If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.
