Hi @DEBASHIS_11,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you’re having an issue with the display on your HP notebook, and I’ll do my best to help.

Could you please elaborate a little more on what exactly is happening with the display?
For example:

  • Is the screen completely black?
  • Do you see power lights or hear fan noise?
  • Is there any HP logo when turning it on?
  • Is the display flickering, dim, white, or showing lines?
  • Did the issue start after an update, a fall, or a sudden shutdown?

In the meantime, please try these basic steps:

1. Perform a hard reset

  • Turn the notebook off
  • Disconnect the charger
  • Remove all USB/external devices
  • Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds
  • Reconnect the charger and turn it back on

2. Check brightness

  • Press the Brightness Up key several times

3. Test with an external monitor/TV

  • Connect the notebook using HDMI
  • Check if the display appears externally

4. Try BIOS recovery

  • Turn the notebook off
  • Press and hold Windows + B
  • Press the Power button for 2–3 seconds
  • Release the Power button, but continue holding Windows + B for a few seconds

5. Run diagnostics

  • Turn the notebook on and tap Esc repeatedly
  • Press F2 for HP Hardware Diagnostics

Also, please share the exact HP notebook model number when you reply so we can guide you with more specific steps.

We’ll be happy to assist further once we have a bit more detail.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
