Product: Example: HP USB External DVDRW Drive. MODEL: GP7ON
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hi HP Community,

I purchased a HP USB External DVDRW Drive. MODEL: GP7ON, from the HP Store. My Z-Book will not recognize the Drive.  Keeps opening Microsoft APPS store.  I can see on my device manager. Should I change to USA, check for new drives, and this only will allow only 5 times?  I watched a video to download a software from a third party but no way. Can someone advise me what to do?

Hi:

 

Are you trying to play a DVD?

 

If so, you need to install DVD playing software because W10 and W11 do not come with such software.

 

This is the free video software I safely install from the Microsoft Store...

 

Open the Microsoft store, and search for VLC, and this is the one you want...
