Dark screen

HP ENVY x360 Touchsmart
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I finally found a battery and replaced it as per HP instructions.  Since replacing the battery, the screen does not work.  There is no indication that there is power to the backlight or output to the screen.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are not getting any display after replacing the battery.


Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

  • Have you checked with the original battery are you getting display?
  • Do you see any lights on the computer when you power it on?
