Desktop icon display

My desktop icon is visible one by one when i refresh it everytime and only  at upper portion of the desktop.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the desktop icons issue. 

I'd suggest you check for auto-arrange option - 

1.) Right-click on the desktop screen and and click on View.  

2.) Un-check Auto-arrange icons. 

If the issue still persists, try these steps -

1) Select Start, and in the search box, enter Command Prompt. Press and hold (or right-click) Command Prompt (Desktop app) from the search results and select Run as administrator.
2) Enter DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth (note the spaces before each "/").
3) Enter sfc /scannow (note the space between "sfc" and "/").

Also, try updating the computer - 

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
