Due to mysterious bugs on my HP EliteBook 845 G7 Notebook (the time and date were often set to April 16th at 4:20 p.m., and I couldn’t get onto the internet), I completely smashed it. Well, at least the screen. I thought the PC was broken, but the other day I had the idea of connecting an external screen. It actually connected automatically. Unfortunately, it didn’t mirror, but instead expanded it, which is why it “jumped”. I couldn’t manage to set the settings to “mirror” in time. It jumps back every time and then I have to start over and can’t do it. So I ripped out a few cables that were left and voilà…now only the menu bar jumps.
So I thought it was malware, like the April 16th 4:20 p.m. bug, but it’s clearly a hardware problem: I also had the bugs in the installation menu of the associated live test Ubuntu. Currently, I have Manjaro installed.
It’s Wayland, which is why I didn’t get very far with Xrandr commands.
Do you think it helps to turn off the pointer (not all of them, not the external mouse)? How do I turn off ONLY the touchpad?

→ It could be a Touchpad issue, right?
Edit:
Three options:
1. how can I switch off the touchpad in the bios?
2. how can I disconnect the touchpad cable from the mainboard?
3. how can I switch off the touchpad via the terminal in Manjaro..BUT: Touchpad /"tastfeld" is already switched off in the graphically visualized settings)?
Another explanation for the Bug??
