HP ENVY 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17m-ch0000 (23T02AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My display I am pretty sure is damaged probably from light impact of hitting the floor in my book bag it has an extremely dim portion in the left hand corner that it is not bearable to use as is. I have tried to look for a whole replacement assembly for it or even a replacement screen to go in the shell and have had no luck. The part for the display on HP's website is listed as not for resale so I cannot purchase it directly from them to my knowledge. I do not want to go through the trouble of buying a replacement from a third party and it not able to fit or work for my specific model, as they are expensive and it would be a pain if I could not get that money back for that investment. If anyone can help me resolve this issue as soon as possible it would be greatly appreciated, as I need the laptop for school.

You've  covered all the options -- you can't get the part from HP and you won't buy it from someplace else.

There are no other options -- than replacing the laptop.

I did not state specifically I do not want to purchase the replacement from somewhere else. I am skeptical of doing so due to the part of it possibly being not being compatible with the laptop. I have tried to search for the specific part else where, but have had no luck with any of the sellers I have found of them stating that it is specifically for the model I have. I do not want to purchase another laptop as the one I have is expensive as is, so replacing it isn’t really an option for me personally. I was hoping to receive some insight from someone, if they possibly knew a reliable place to get the specific part as I am trying to repair it without having to break the bank as I am a broke college student. So thank you for your wonderful helpful response that does nothing for me.

If you have the HP part number, that will help identify the part you need -- but it is no guarantee that the part you receive will be that part. Yeah -- I understand your predicament, as I have purchased parts online on to find out, after I received them, that they were not compatible.

Wish I could recommend a part supplier -- but we're not allowed to endorse specific suppliers, even if we have had good experiences with them.

All I can suggest is to confirm that you can get a full price refund if the part is not compatible.
