Example: HP Notebook (P6M78PA#ACJ)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop screen automatically gets locked within few minutes when not in use. Though I have set 'turn off screen' and 'go to sleep' both options as 'never' for both 'on battery power' and 'while plugged in'. I don't want my screen to get locked automatically. How do I do that? Please guide me.

Hi @Anand_Swarup

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Try these steps -

1) Right-click the Start or the Windows icon and then click on Search.

2) Type regedit and hit Enter on your keyboard.

3) Double-click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.

4) Double-click on SOFTWARE.

5) Double-click on Policies.

6) Double-click on Microsoft.

7) Right-click on Windows.

😎 Click on New.

9) Click on Key.

10) Type Personalization and hit Enter. Right-click on the Personalization key you just created.

11) Click on New.

12) Click on DWORD (32-bit) Value.

13) Type NoLockScreen and hit Enter on your keyboard. Double-click the NoLockScreen DWORD you just created.

14) Type 1 in the Value data field and hit enter.

Let me know how that goes.
