My laptop will go into sleep mode when it is fully "flexed" 360 degrees. All the options like "do nothing" when lid is closed and "never" go into sleep do not seem to be working, whether I flex the laptop 360 degrees OR just close the lid. If I could find an alternative method to stop the display from sleeping after closing the lid, that would probably be enough to fix my problem of the screen going black when I fully flex the laptop, but all of the general and advanced settings to alter sleep mode functionality dont seem to be working..

Hello! I found a forum post from microsoft with some possible solutions.
Solution 1:
1. Go to Start and then Settings.
2. Click on Update and Recovery.
3. Check for updates under Windows Updates.
4. Restart the system and check if the issue is resolved.
Solution 2:
I suggest you to try running the Power Troubleshooter to check if it helps to resolve the issue.
Refer these steps:
1. Press Windows key + X, select Control panel.
2. Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
3. Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
4. Run the Power troubleshooter
If the issue persists, change the power settings and check if it helps.
Solution 3:
I suggest you to change the Power settings on the system. Change the power management feature for all relevant drivers and check if it helps to resolve the issue.
Follow the steps below:
Check if allow this device to wake the computer is checked in Device Manager.
1. Click Start, type Device manager in the Start search box and hit Enter.
2. Select keyboard, it will display your keyboard, right click and select ‘Properties’.
3. Select the ‘Power management’ tab.
4. Check the “Allow this device to wake the computer” check box.
5. Repeat these steps for Mouse and Network adapters as well.
Solution 4:
Perform a clean boot to see if a third-party application is causing the problem

I believe these simple solutions are a bit outdated, for instance there is no "Update and Recovery" section, it is now called "Update & Security", and when I pull up the keyboard options, there is no "power management" tab and I was not able to locate such an option anywhere.
Either way, none of these solutions solved my problem, the computer still insists on goin into sleep mode even when "do nothing" and "never" options are chosen..
I'm beginning to think that it is a problem with the actual laptop, being a brand new one, maybe there is some sort of factory defect.. I have never had this much of an issue simply turning off sleep mode and keeping the screen on even if the laptop is closed.

If the notebook is new and there isn't any data on it or if you have a backup of your data.
I would suggest performing a factory reset of the PC.
Factory reset can be accessed by pressing F11 at the PC startup. It erases all user data including programs, videos, music and documents like PDF's.
