I don't have any tab after Hardware either to turn off tap click

Saw in a later post you seem to give up on disabling tap-to-click and just switch to a mouse. Did you eventually disable the whole trackpad because you could not disable tap-to-click?

having the same issue with an HP Envy with Synaptics Touchpad. All related threads give answers that use menu options that dont exist for me. Would really like to disable tap-to-click as well. Cannot understand why this is so hard.

I found my answer. I went to the windows search bar (bottom left of screen) and searched for "Elan."  This brought up "Elan Touchpad Setting" which gave me the controls I needed.

I found my solution. Go to the Windows Search field at the bottom left of the screen and search for "Elan Touchpad Setting."Screenshot 2019-07-19 11.34.14.pngScreenshot 2019-07-19 11.36.50.pngScreenshot 2019-07-19 11.37.05.png
