Hi there,

I am using a HP 15-r033tx notebook pc running on Windows 8.1, but I am unable to control the brightness of my display which is too bright, whereas my sound controlling hotkey is working fine. Kindly please help.

Thanks a lot. 🙂

I reviewed your post and I understand that the brightness keys are not working on your computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Are you able to increase and decrease the brightness from Display Settings(OS)?

Meanwhile, I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

BIOS: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp88501-89000/sp88925.exe

Intel: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp69501-70000/sp69589.exe

Nvidia: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp65001-65500/sp65477.exe

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
