HP Spectre x360 - 13t-aw000 CTO
Microsoft Windows 11

Everything worked fine until I installed Windows 11.  Now once the startup sequence is completed, the display starts flickering when I open an app or file.  After a hard reboot -- what I use to do when I experienced the blue screen of death -- yes, I'm that old -- everything works fine.

I think one of the apps in the start up sequence is the source of the problem, but I don't know how to remove it.  Can someone tell me how.  Or does anyone have any other suggestions.  The hard reboot works -- just not ideal way to start if you know what I mean.

If your HP Spectre X360 - 13t is experiencing display flickering after installing Windows 11, here are a few things you can try.

  • Update Graphics Drivers: Try updating your graphics drivers to the latest version. To do this, go to the HP website and download the latest graphics driver for your device. Install the driver and restart your computer.
  • Adjust Display Settings: Sometimes, changing the display settings can help fix display flickering issues. To adjust the display settings, right-click on the desktop and select Display Settings. Try changing the resolution or refresh rate and see if that helps.
  • Disable Adaptive Brightness: Some users have reported that disabling adaptive brightness can help fix display flickering issues. To do this, go to Control Panel > Power Options > Change Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings. Expand Display, then disable Adaptive Brightness under Enable Adaptive Brightness.
  • Check for Windows Updates: Make sure that your Windows 11 is up-to-date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for any available updates. Install any updates that are available and restart your computer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Installing the Graphics Driver did the trick.  Thank you so much.  I tried to give you a thumbs up, but for some reason I couldn't click the icon.  Apologies.  BUT I am ever so grateful.
