Laptop screen turns off as soon as I plug in the charger and turns on after unplugging.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the display turns off when you connect the charger.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

What is the operating system you are using?

Have you tested the computer with a different charger?

 

Meanwhile, I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check if it helps.

 

https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

 

If you continue facing the issue, then boot to BIOS by tapping the F10 on startup and then check whether you are able to duplicate the issue in BIOS.
