With the new windows update did they get rid of the different display options? Before the update I could pick different screen settings, like entertainment, bright, low light and other options. It was also an option in the pop up window when I clicked on the battery, volume and wifi settings in the lower left When I go in the display settings now that option is totally gone, was it completely removed?

@Roo111, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding display options!
Looks like your HP Spectre’s display settings went on a stealth mission after the update—don’t worry, we’ll track them down!
The display modes you're referring to are typically managed by the HP Display Control application, which allows users to switch between various screen settings like "Entertainment," "Bright," and "Low Light." It's possible that a recent Windows 11 update may have affected this application's functionality or its integration with the system settings.
Possible Causes:
-
HP Display Control Application Issue: The application might have been disabled, uninstalled, or corrupted during the update process.
-
Driver Compatibility: The update could have introduced compatibility issues with the display drivers, affecting the application's performance.
Steps you can follow:
-
Check for HP Display Control:
- Press the Windows key and type
HP Display Control
. - If it's not installed, you can download it from here.
- Press the Windows key and type
-
Update Graphics Drivers:
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters, right-click on your graphics driver, and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers.
-
Use HP Support Assistant:
- Open the HP Support Assistant application.
- Navigate to Updates and check for any available updates for your device.
-
Adjust Display Settings Manually:
- Go to Settings > System > Display.
- Here, you can manually adjust brightness, night light, and other display settings.
-
Check for Windows Updates:
- Navigate to Settings > Windows Update and ensure your system is up-to-date.
Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hi,
Thanks for the info, the HP Display Control Application was not installed on my computer. I installed that, I also tried to update the driver and look for further updates in HP Support Assistant and windows update, everything is up to date.
The HP Display Control is definitely not what I was looking for, it didn't change anything in my settings or add the tool back to the control center thing in the bottom right of the screen. I used to be able to pick from a lot of different modes not just a few options when opening and using the display app. It used to be in settings with like 10 different modes I could set my screen to. I can no longer do that.
To give some further information, I was having some trouble with my computer and with HP Support we had to factory reset my computer so that might have deleted it or caused it to go away forever.
