Pavilion Notebook PC 17-fo65US
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

My display just broke.  It flickers, has wrong colors, impossible to read most of the time etc.  Pretty sure I need a new display.  I searched using the Product Number, (G6Q75UA) and the Model name (HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC 17-f065us).  Not finding anything.

My two questions are:

1) I'm not finding a replacement screen for this model.  Might there be a cross reference guide?  Should I try a different search string? (Currently I am giving either the product no. or the full and abbreviated model names).  By the way, here is the screen description from the HP website

17.3-inch diagonal HD+ BrightView WLED-backlit display (1600 x 900)

2) Assuming there are replacements available, is there a manual that describes removing and replacing the screen for my model?

Thank you in advance on a cold day in Syracuse, NY 1/10/22

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
After reading your post, I did go through the
Product Specifications of your product and found the part details: 766904-001 17.3 INCH DISPLAY PANEL WLED BV HD+ display assembly and it's a universal part you can purchase one from an online store. Just by entering the part number in the google search bar, you will be able to find the website selling those parts.

For more information regarding display replacement refer to the Maintenance and Service Guide Display assembly subcomponents. 40 Chapter 3 Illustrated parts catalog.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
