I have a HP ENVY x360, which i used to connect to external monitors via a Dell Dock. Worked fine so far, but stopped working. It connects to mouse, keyboard and the webcam connected to the dock, but does not connect to the monitors.

Works fine when connecting the monitor directly with HDMI

My laptop: HP EliteBook 840 14 inch G10 Notebook PC

I've gotten a similar problem this week. My laptop suddenly stopped recognizing external monitors connected via USB ports. Which adapter or which USB port doesn't matter.
