Hi all,
I was having problems with the display adapter, weird colours etc. I was advised to uninstall display driver and reinstall it on reboot. Well, I have uninstalled it but now the display adapter tab on device manager had completely disappeared. Hp do not support this device any longer so I'm not quite sure which driver to download.
Any help much appreciated,
Dan

@Dannydoy Ideally, once the driver is uninstalled, and you restart the computer, it would automatically reinstall the drivers required for the device, if that didn't work though you restarted the device, I suggest you perform a system restore using the below steps:
-
Turn off the computer.
-
Disconnect all connected devices and cables such as the Personal Media Drive, USB drives, printer, and fax. Remove media from drives, and remove any recently added internal hardware. Do not disconnect the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and power cord.
-
Turn on the computer.
-
From the Windows desktop click Start
, and then All Programs. -
Click PC Help & Tools.
-
Click Recovery Manager.
The Recovery Manager Welcome screen appears.
-
Click Next.
-
On the Software Program Re-installation screen select No, and then click Next.
-
On the Hardware Re-installation screen select No, and then click Next.
-
On the screen that prompts for Microsoft System Restore select YES and follow the screen instructions.
And if that doesn't help, you may need to reinstall windows: click here for steps (ensure you backup all your data into an external storage device before doing this steps)
