Hi @hholmes2363,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP display is black, there are a few steps you can take to try and resolve the issue.

  • Check the power source: Make sure your display is plugged in and that the outlet is working. If you're using a power strip, try plugging the display directly into the wall to see if that makes a difference.
  • Check the cables: Ensure that all cables are connected properly and securely. If the display has multiple inputs, ensure that the correct input is selected.
  • Restart the display: Turn off the display and unplug it from the power source. Wait a few minutes and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Restart the computer: If the display is still black, restart your computer to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Check the display settings: Make sure the display is set to the correct resolution and refresh rate in your computer's display settings.
  • Update graphics drivers: Check for any available updates for your graphics drivers and install them if necessary.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
