HP Pavilion - 14-ce3034nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a problem with my HP Pavillion Laptop 14-ce3xxx. The display intermittently (with a period of 2 seconds)  blinks with horizontal lines. The PC didn't fall or receive bumps, it started to show this problem while writing a document in Word. I've already tried using the Virtual Assistant and I followed all the steps but I didn't solve the issue. In particular, I opened the HP Support Assistant and I performed all the listed updates. Nothing has changed.

I attach a photo of the described behavior.described behaviour of the displaydescribed behaviour of the display

Hello @Benny168

This is a graphic GPU or screen error

Please connect an external monitor with d-sub/vga or hdmi cable to check if the error is also shown on the external monitor,

External monitor: Display blinking with horizontal lines => GPU defective

External monitor: OK => Notebook screen has to be replaced

In your case: Service is required !
- The computer should be disassembled and checked.

- If the mainboard is ok, the GPU ( Desoldering / Soldering ) or notebook screen has to be replaced

- Thermal paste for CPU GPU and bridges should be renewed

- The function of the fan(s) must be checked
- General cleaning ...

If you can't do that, you should have it serviced by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.

best regards
