HP ENVY x360 13.3 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 13-bf0000 (552D7AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My screen brightness will randomly dim while I am working almost like its "adjusting" brightness on its own between bright and darker. it is really annoying and concerning and I am worried its my computer having a defect. I know I read some of the laptops have auto-adjust brightness, but I do not see that option for my computer. Hoping its just a quick button switch and that I do not need to send my computer back.

is any one else having this issue? i have HP Envyx 360

thanks for any help!

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

The ambient light feature is mentioned in the User Guide on Pages 6-7.

Check here:

Setting > System > Display > Brightness & Color

Down Arrow > Clear / Check box "Change brightness automatically when lighting changes"

Example

Settings_System_Display_Brightness_1Settings_System_Display_Brightness_1
