Hi @Kojac1020
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
If your HP Envy display is appearing in black and white instead of color, here are a few things to check:
1. Check Windows Color Settings
- Go to Settings → Accessibility → Color Filters
- If "Color Filters" is turned on, it might be set to grayscale—disable it to restore color.
2. Adjust Display Driver Settings
- Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings
- Scroll down and click Advanced Display Settings → Display Adapter Properties
- Check the Color Management tab and reset it to default.
3. Update Graphics Drivers
- Press Win + X → Device Manager
- Expand Display Adapters → Right-click your GPU → Update Driver
- Select Search automatically for drivers
4. Check for Hardware Issues
- If the display is stuck in black and white even after restarting, try connecting to an external monitor.
- If the external monitor shows color, the issue is with the laptop’s screen.
- If both show grayscale, the issue is software-related.
Let me know if one of these steps helped!
