Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a laptop, an HP Pavilion 17t-g100, and the motherboard is crashing. I obtained an i7 motherboard with a Nivia card and installed it, but it doesn't recognize the display, make all the checks, and all is ok with the board. Can it be a problem with the display? because it is 1600x900 and I read that this board uses a display 1920x1080. Is there any solution, or must I buy a new display with a higher resolution? Thanks for the recommendations.
