Hello HP!
After 6months+ of use the USB-C connection to my external monitor just isn't working any more. When connecting the USB-C cable I get the following notification in windows:
"Display connection might be limited. Make sure the DisplayPort device you're connecting to is supported by your PC. Select this message for more troubleshooting info."
Using: HP Envy x360-13 and Dell S2722QC.
Here's what I've tried:
- NB! previously has worked fine (using same laptop, cable and monitor)
- tried new cable
- used compressed air to carefully clean the usb-c port
- tested with other pc & mac, works fine
- tried restart
- tried windows update (everything is updated)
- AMD Radeon software reinstalled & updated
- tried HP virtual assistant
- tried to google
- tried HP PC Hardware Diagnostics app - "Video connection not detected."
- tried to connect regular laptop charger, no change.
There is nothing in the Device Manager with an exclamation mark or not funcioning indication.
Just thought about asking ChatGPT also, so going to to that as well.
But maybe somebody here knows what's happening.
