Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have a new HP Envy laptop and I connect to a secondary screen using an HDMI cable that is connected to the laptop through a USB-C.  This is a Syntech branded adaptor.  The secondary screen is a Samsung Smart TV curved screen.  THe display on the secondary screen is too larger - so I can't see the top bottom or left and right sides.  Any ideas to fix this?
