Here we are a week later, and HP have still not got the update system refreshed to get over this! Amazing...

My client was persuaded to switch from Lenovo to HP by a salesman - worse mistake they ever made. Probook doesn't work with Skype for Business and hasn't for over a year. And now, as the laptops update, users are loosing their monitor because Intel HD Graphics 620 v23.20.16.4877 crashes on Windows v1803. Removing the device and going back to v22.20.16.4771 is a workaround but it requires a reboot.

This is a generic problem in v23.20.16.4877 as it also occurs on Lenovo Thinkpads (same graphics chip) but at Lenovo have got their act together and all you have to do is update the driver automatically. One can write instructions on how users can do that themselves without flooding the helpdesk.

Come on HP - ever heard the line "Who lost the sale??"

Yes same problem here - latest Intel driver not approved. Come on HP, get your ifinger out and get it approved!
