HP Laptop 15-da0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP 15 laptop is 18 months old and out of warranty. In May I replaced the original screen at an HP Service outlet close to my home. Then the problem was black smudge-like spots in the LCD panel.

Now having replaced the screen, I face a different problem. The screen is yellow as compared to the previous one (white). As a result all black fonts, web pages appear less crisp. Its hurting my eyes.

Is there a way to fix this ? Do note that I can crank up the brightness to maximum but the tinge or hue remains yellow.

@Sriramv01

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • When was the last time it worked without these issues?
  • Have you updated Graphics and Chipset drivers?
  • Have you checked the display on an external monitor?

let’s try these steps to resolve the problem:

I recommend you attempt to access the BIOS screen by tapping on F10 while the computer is restarting,

If the issue persists in the BIOS screen which is outside windows, it would confirm a hardware failure.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
