I’m experiencing a display issue with my HP Pavilion Aero 13 running Windows 11. The screen often flickers or jumps briefly and then shifts downward, making it difficult to work comfortably.
I’ve tried basic troubleshooting like restarting the system and checking for display driver updates, but the problem still persists.

Hi @Athira001,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for sharing the details. The screen flickering and shifting issue on your HP Pavilion Aero 13 running Windows 11 could be caused by a graphics driver conflict, refresh rate mismatch, or even a BIOS/firmware issue. Since you've already tried updating the display driver, here are some additional steps to help resolve the issue:
1. Check for BIOS and Firmware Updates
- Visit the official HP support page for your model: 👉 HP Pavilion Aero 13.3 inch Laptop PC 13-be0000 Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support
- Download and install the latest BIOS and firmware updates.
2. Adjust Display Refresh Rate
- Go to Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings.
- Under Refresh rate, try switching between 60 Hz and 120 Hz (if available).
- Sometimes, a mismatch between the panel and driver can cause flickering.
3. Disable Hardware Acceleration
- In apps like Brave Browser, go to:
- Settings > System > Use hardware acceleration when available → Turn it off.
- Restart the browser and check if the flickering stops.
4. Use HP Support Assistant
- Download or open HP Support Assistant to automatically detect and install any missing or outdated drivers. 👉 HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
5. Run HP Display Diagnostics
- Use HP’s built-in diagnostics:
- Restart your laptop and press Esc, then F2 to enter HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- Run the Display Test to check for hardware faults.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
