HP Spectre x360 16 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 16-aa0000 (7M3L2AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a Spectre x360 16. When I pull up the monitor info page in settings it lists the nits as 330, but when i pull up the HP product page online it lists that it should be 400 and 500 HDR. What is wrong and is there a setting or a driver that is the reason this is this way?

Hi  @bearlyfunction,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out, and I appreciate you providing the additional information about your Spectre x360 16 with the OLED 2.8K (2880 × 1800) 48Hz-120Hz touch display.

I understand your concern regarding the brightness information shown in Windows compared to the specifications listed on the HP product page. To help us better understand what you're seeing, could you kindly provide the following details?

  • Does the display appear dimmer than expected, or is your concern only about the brightness value shown in Windows?
  • Are you viewing the brightness information under Settings > System > Display > Advanced Display?
  • Have you enabled HDR in Windows Display Settings?

In the meantime, you can try the below steps:

  1. Go to Settings > System > Display and verify whether HDR is enabled.
  2. Disable any adaptive brightness or power-saving display features temporarily and check whether the reported value changes.

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
