HP Notebook 15-dy1038ca
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Problem first started with a horizontal green line along the top of the internal display. And then it became green or pink horizontal or vertical lines or patches all over the screen. These problems were also present on the startup screen and in BIOS. Over time, there has been more black/blank rather than green/pink lines.

Everything is fine when connected to an external monitor. Webcam and microphone are fine. A system reset did not change anything.

Most noteworthy to me is: when I first power on the notebook or when I switch the display to the PC screen after some time off, I can see the appropriate "current" display on the PC screen (though tinted green/pink), but it does not refresh any new input from the cursor or keyboard.

I'm pretty sure it's a hardware issue. But which part needs to be replaced?

Thanks.
