Hi
The bottom of my screen is showing a mirror of whatever is open on the top, like web browser or any other program. I tried to check for any update but there was no update available, and I even tried to format my laptop but it did not fix the problem.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue it's pretty annoying??

@Monzerje Does this only occur when you are on the browser window? If yes, did you try an alternate web browser? And If not, I suggest you check if this issue occurs when you are on safe mode: click here to know how to access the same.
That said, if the issue occurs on safe mode as well, please perform an SFC scan in Windows 10:
- Hit the Windows logo key + X key shortcut on your keyboard.
- From the menu that appears, select either Command Prompt (Admin) or Windows PowerShell (Admin).
- Then input the “sfc /scannow” command and press the Enter key.
- Wait until the scan is over. Once it is, close the utility you are using (Command Prompt or PowerShell).
Finally, restart your machine and see whether your problem has been fixed.
If that doesn't do the trick:
Use the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool will resolve your Taskbar issues if they have been brought about by corruption in your disk image.
These are the instructions for you to run the tool:
- Open Command Prompt or PowerShell with administrative privileges (use the instructions from the previous fix).
- Type DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth. Press the Enter key to run the command.
- Wait for the all-clear to proceed and restart your computer. Then check your Taskbar to see if the fix has proved successful.

No, the bar is showing all the time the moment the PC starts booting and no matter what I open like folder, Microsoft office, or any other program the bar is always there and even if i am not opening anything it will appear on the desktop.
I tired your method anyway but it seems it could not fix the problem.

@Monzerje Alright, here's what to do, next:
- check if it works fine on the BIOS screen to identify if it's either a hardware or a software issue:
- If it works fine on the BIOS (Accessed while tapping F10 during a restart) it's a software issue & I suggest creating a new user account to check if that works better, for starters)
- However, if it doesn't work within the BIOS either, I'm afraid it's a hardware malfunction.
While you respond to that, I have a few more steps that should help:
Perform a power reset (no data loss) using these steps: Click here, proceed to next step if this works
Attempt to run a test from the HP hardware diagnostic tool, using this link: Click here for details.
If the issue appears on the diagnostics, it could again, determine a hardware failure,
If they don't appear on bios & the hardware tests passed: please update the BIOS & Chip-set drivers from the HP website using this link: Click here
if the issue persists, reinstall windows using the recovery partition or the recovery media to fix the issue,
use this link for details on performing the recovery: Click here
If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
