HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0014nm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So this laptop has a 144hz 1080p panel but the integrated Vega 8 graphics only allow me to go up to 60hz. I have all of the newest drivers for both gpus . I also tried disabling the integrated graphics but the bios is so barebone it doesnt even allow that.

Where do you get that information ? It specs does not say anything

   https://support.hp.com/sk-en/document/c06459523

It only has   39.6 cm (15.6") diagonal FHD IPS anti-glare micro-edge WLED-backlit, 250 nits, 45% NTSC (1920 x 1080) screen

1. from the hp pavilion gaming 15 product page where it says "Up to 144 hz": https://www8.hp.com/us/en/gaming/laptops/pavilion-15.html

2. from the stores own marketing material aswell the laptop that was there on showcase had a sticher on it that said 144hz:  https://www.harveynorman.si/prenosnik-hp-pavilion-15-ec0014nm

3. if i uninstall the vega 8 drivers the microsoft basic dispaly driver kicks in and it sets the default refresh rate to 64hz and this has happend twice to me already when there are no drivers installed and a 144hz display is connected

  1. HP Pavilion Gaming 15 Laptop is a series of many models/products with many combinations/options/configurations UP TO simply means with dozens or hundreds of different models/products few models/products have 144Hz screens.
  2. You need to check with them why
  3. No comments

Example

   My machine has   15.6" diagonal FHD 144 Hz IPS anti-glare micro-edge WLED-backlit (1920 x 1080)

   Other machine same series only has 15.6" diagonal FHD IPS anti-glare micro-edge WLED-backlit (1920 x 1080)
