HP Laptop PC 15-dy2000 PC IDS Base Model
Microsoft Windows 11

Just received the laptop couple of  days ago after a month wait. The screen resolution is 1366x768 and everything looks so bad on a 15.6" screen due to this lower resolution. The colors are not even displaying faded. 1366x768 is the recommended option in the display setting drop down and there is no higher resolution listed. Is there a way to make the display look at least decent?

What is your HP Laptop PC 15-dy2000 ? It NATIVE resolution could be ONLY 1366 x 768 therefore you can't get over that. You can see what is your machine using System Information to get its SKU. For example

If that is the case, I would say, HP should not have configured a 15.6" laptop  with native resolution  1366x768. The graphics look so inferior that as a first time HP buyer I am utterly disappointed. Our work requires some graphic design and it is super important to display the colors at the correct shade. So, this laptop is of no use for us. After contacting HP over the phone with an intent to exchange this laptop with another one with superior resolution (by paying extra for the upgrade) I realized that I will be charged a 15% restocking fee, no matter what. Mine is still under 30 day warranty period. Any suggestions from anybody about how I can reduce the loss?
