Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hi team

I am facing an issue with my hp probook 450 g6  laptop. It only supports 1366*768 screen resolution eventhough it came along with internal graphics card that support 1920*1080 resolution. Maximum resolution i can change from syatem settings is 1366*768.

Why this is happening?

Tried change settings from nvidia control pannel and installing nvidia drivers nithing helps.

You're very welcome.

Below is the link to the parts list for your notebook

HP PartSurfer

According to the parts list it comes with a 15.6" HD AG SVA LCD PNL   HP part # L45105-001

SVA = 1366 x 768 resolution.

Here's a link to a supplier that has the part number and description of the LCD panel your notebook has:

Screen for HP L45105-001. Replacement Laptop LCD Screen (laptopscreen.com)

So that explains why your notebook cannot have a higher resolution than 1366 x 768 from the display.

If you connected an external monitor/TV to your notebook, you would get the maximum resolution provided by the graphics adapter and the monitor/TV, whichever is less.

Hi:

There is also another factor that determines the display resolution and that is the actual LCD panel that your notebook comes with.

Some notebooks come with only a 1366 x 768 display panel (like my HP notebook does), and some come with the FHD display panel that supports the 1920 x 1080 display resolution.

So, I cannot confirm what type of display your notebook came with without knowing the product number of your 450 G6 notebook.

You can find the product number by running the system information app, and the product number can be found on the System SKU line.
