Hello,
I have a "HP 255 15.6 inch G9 Notebook PC (6A1A7EA#ABE)"and don't know if it has IPS or TN panel.
I just found it's a "15.6" diagonal FHD display" and I've seen it exists in both options.
Thank you.

Hi:
The only information available is from the parts list for your notebook's product number:
The display panel part number and description is:
N08592-001 | SPS-RAW PANEL LCD 15 FHD AG UWVA 250e |
The illustrated parts map describes that part number as a FHD, UWVA, 250 nits
Illustrated parts catalog | HP® Support
Chapter 1 of the service manual would indicate that display part number and description is this one:
Full high definition (FHD) (1920 × 1080), antiglare, ultrawide viewing angle (UWVA), eDP 1.2 without PSR, 250 nits
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
I don't see that any IPS displays are described in the manual.
