Hi,

I have an HP Victus 15-fb2000 with Ryzen 5 8645HS and RTX 4050 Laptop GPU.

I want to confirm something about this model:
Does it support a MUX switch, Graphics Switcher, or dGPU-only mode?

I checked OMEN Gaming Hub and BIOS, but I could not find any graphics switching option.

Also, the laptop’s internal display appears to be connected through the integrated AMD graphics.
Could this hybrid graphics path cause micro-stutter in games, even when games are set to use the RTX 4050 in Windows Graphics settings?

Thank you.

I don’t think your HP Victus 15‑fb2000 (Ryzen 5 8645HS + RTX 4050) has a physical MUX switch or discrete‑GPU‑only (dGPU‑only) mode, and it uses a hybrid‑graphics path through the integrated AMD GPU for the internal display. I can say that because it’s a budget gaming laptop.

If it did support such a feature, there should be a MUX‑switch or dGPU‑only toggle in the BIOS or OMEN Gaming Hub for this model.
The hybrid path can add some latency, and it’s not that bad. It may drop few fps but game optimization and windows optimization more responsible.

If your laptop’s HDMI port is connected to the dGPU, you can also buy an external monitor to bypass the iGPU. Use the NVIDIA Control Panel to check the HDMI port connection; it should be in the PhysX settings somewhere.
