I have an external 4k monitor that can support upto 60Hz. But when I connect to it via a HDMI cable, I can only get options upto 4K 30Hz. I have to get to FHD resolution to get 60Hz option.

 

So I have 2 questions:

1. Does my laptop support 4K 60Hz output? If so, what should I do to get 4K 60Hz output? I would like to know if my laptop can support it before trying higher bandwidth HDMI cable. I do not know where to see the spec for this.

2. Does my laptop support connection to monitor via USB C cable? I tried it and I got a message saying connection might be limited. Please confirm if my laptop can connect to monitors via USB C.
