Hi,
I just bought a new laptop from Amazon, where it says the laptop has a FHD IPS Touchdisplay but using the screen does not work.
After checking the device manager I see, that there is no HID - Compliant Touch Screen driver.
Can I just download the driver and it will work then, and where can i find one?
Or does this PC simply not support touch screen and the information on Amazon was wrong?
Thanks!

Hi, @SilentSean your laptop actually uses a touchscreen according to the manual.

See if these two drivers will work. They are available here.

Hello again,
So I tried installing the drivers and executed the downloaded .exe files. Starting with the "HID Event Filter Driver", I did not get any info whether it has been installed successfully. And after several attempts and reboots, there still was no new driver in the Device Manager. When I tried downloading it, the Install Wizard quickly closed, but it created a new folder. With a log file, which only containted this:
Furthermore, when trying to install the other "PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows", it is pretty much the same. Only that after the Wizard, a CMD opens and quickly closes again. Here again, i do not know if it worked, I did not see anything new in the Device Manager. The new folder that gets created here contains 2 Logs. "InstallCmdWrapper.log" is fine but "InstallCmdWrapper-Appx.log" has two Error messages towards the end:
Please tell me if I did anything wrong while installing the new drivers or how I can fix this.
Thanks!

Hi, @SilentSean try doing a hard reset on your laptop and see whether it changes anything.

Hi,
I did a hard reset and tried installing the drivers again. The results are the same as before.
Edit:
Tried downloading many other touch screen drivers but no use. Even installed Win10 again.
In the system info i see that ther is no pen or touch input available:
Maybe my device does not have it after all, or its a mistake from the manufacturer.
