Hi, I have tried connecting 2 monitors to my laptop. One is connected to the HDMI port, no issues. The other I tried conncecting to the USB Type C port but with no luck. I tried a USB-C Hub to HDMI Multiport Adapter, the USB ports worked by the USB C to HDMI Adapter. Does this port not support a display?

I see you need help in connecting type C port to display, on HP Pavilion - 15-cd067ca  notebook. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you.

 

After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that your product support 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s); 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Data transfer only); 1 HDMI; 1 RJ-45; 1 headphone/microphone combo.

Thanks Echo_Lake. I have already seen the specifications for my laptop, what I don't understand is whether that USB Type C supports a display or not? I have had no success connecting a display to it, so my guess is no. My next try is a docking station, fingers crossed.

To get the answer to this question, Yes! your correct, the USB 3.1 Type-C on this computer supports only data transfer.
