Hello all.
I am attempting to determine if/how I can use an HDMI connection over my USBC port.
I purchased a miniHub from j5create but it doesn't work. I don't know if this specific device is not compatible or if video is not support by the USBC port. When I connect it to my laptop I get the following error: Display connection might be limited. Make sure the DisplayPort device you're connecting to is supported by your PC.
Does the USBC port on this laptop support HDMI video?
When can I find a list of compatible adapters?
Much thanks
Regards,
KDSLS

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05561158
It ONLY has 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data up to 5 Gb/s) port which does NOT support video out. You CAN'T use USB-C to HDMI cable to connect to a monitor. It has HDMI port, you have to use that port.
Regards.
