I am seeing something similar, just started seeing it today. but more like a grid pattern covering the entire screen. almost like I can see the touchscreen technology in the monitor... attaching a pic. Is this a hardware issue and if so, can it be repaired? 20191016_084145.jpg

Thanks for sharing the picture. Well I can see what the problem is.

 

I suggest you check in BIOS to see if you see those grids

 

Shut down the notebook and upon restarting keep tapping on the F10 key till you see System Configuration Menu ( BIOS )

 

If you see those grids in the BIOS, then it is a Hardware issue with the screen and the Notebook needs to be serviced. You can contact HP Support for Service Options

 

Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/ and select your Country to get the Contact details for HP Support
