My web cam has stopped working once I upgraded to Win 10 so I am trying to fix it and I would like to have the latest driver. When I go to HP site it does not even list any driver. Please tell me how to get the latest driver.

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂
I rea that you have an HP ENVY Notebook - 15t-k100 series laptop and the webcam stopped working since the time you upgraded the operating system to Win10.You've tried to search on the HP website and it does not list the driver. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.
I would like to know the following information to assist you better:
- Do you receive an error message while trying to use the webcam?
- Have you tried to use the webcam on multiple applications?
Meanwhile, I did some research and found the Cyberlink Youcam Software which is released by HP for Win10. This will contain the webcam drivers too. I suggest you to uninstall the existing youcam software (if present) and only then download and install the new one. Plese follow the below steps to uninstall:
-
In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
-
In the Uninstall or change a program window, select the program (Cyberlink youcam) you want to remove from the list and click Uninstall or Uninstall/Change at the top of the program list.
Figure : Select and uninstall unneeded programs
- Read and respond to any messages that may open while the software is being removed from your computer.
Once you perform the above steps, please download and install the Cyberlink youcam software from this link: http://hp.care/2mbCdx7
Hope this information helps. Please do let me know how it goes. Cheers! 🙂

hanks for the response.
I actually did the uninstall and reinstall before I posted. I get no error message and I have tried the camera app and the YouCam app and with both of them it does not work. I get a totally black screen but the web cam light does go on.
Since you are an employee, why doesn't HP proprely show the software for my PC. It does show the camera software and it does show the driver for my wifi card. It may not show other software but I have not checked. Very disappointed with HP. My PC has not acted properly since upgrade to Win 10.
Any suggestions on getting the camera to work?

Thank you for replying with the results. You have done a commendable job in troubleshooting.
Let us perform few steps on the camera just to confirm there is no hardware failure:
-
Restart your computer.
If the problem persists, continue using these steps.
-
In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
-
If there is no Imaging devices category listed, select Action, then Scan for hardware changes.
Figure : Scan for hardware changes
-
If Device Manager does not recognize the webcam after the scan, use Microsoft System Restore to go back to a time when the webcam was working properly. If problems persist, the webcam might have become unplugged internally, and the computer might require service to correct the issue.
I suggest you to review the steps as described in detail from this link: http://hp.care/2mc61ti
Let me know what happens. Cheers! 🙂

here is no "web cam" shown in the device manager but it does show the camera driver. The web cam has never worked since the upgrade to Win 10 (about 1 year ago) so using syste restore is not an option, I believe that HP has done a terrible job of keeping my system up to date and working properly (as evidneced that many drivers are not even listed in the available drivers for my pc). At this point I will be giving up on getting the web cam to work and will be giving up on HP. I had purchased Dell PCs before this and had no real issues, but I gave HP a chance since it was lower in price, It turns out the lower price was not worth the aggrevation and I will be going back to Dell for my future PCs.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.
They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number.
Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.
Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forum

As I suspected, all that HP did was turn this into an attempt to make money off this problem. They only suggested sending my unit itno them. They did not care that their own web site does't even have the proper drivers for my PC. They suggested I contact support (which was done many monthe ago and they did nothing).
HP has seen the last of any of my money. They just don't care afre the sale!

I saw this thread as it was exactly the probelm I had except that I had my camera was running fine with windows 10 for a while until a recent windows update and now it is having the same issue this fellow had . SPCA2082 shows up in imaging devices, Camera light goes on, no picture, just blank , it acts the same in skype and youcam v 6.
