Microsoft Windows 11

Hi All,

I recently purchased Nvidia Quadro M2000M 4GB from Amazon.com. Somehow, I forgot to ask the seller if the card belong to Sub Vendor HP as MXM 3.0 cards are known to have issues with configuration/installation when they belong to different vendor.

After receiving the package, I had installed the card which was quick, but no success in getting the NVIDIA M2000M drivers from being installed on the system. I tried several things in the beginning and ended up getting multiple errors like Error 43, Error 31, Error 18 across DXDIAG & Device Manager. Sometimes the M2000M card will list as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. Finally after several hours of research and troubleshooting, found that the MXM card sent had a Hardware ID that belonged to Sub Vendor Dell that was meant for Dell Precision 7510 laptop. I somehow managed to get some drivers online and pushed them via .iNF file installation, however after restart these installations break and I end up getting error 43, 31, 18 respective at different times. I have to push the INF file each time after restart.

Looking to see if anyone has any ideas on what is likely happening or if I need to Flash HP Bios that can allow this MXM card for M2000M belonging to Dell fit on my laptop with permanently installed drivers? I have tried DDU, Safe mode installation/uninstallation and nothing works. Only thing left is to do a clean OS install, but I am not wanting to do that.

Someone, kindly mark this as solved. Issue seems to have resolved on it's own for now post previous installations. Overall a total weird experience with the driver setup process for the new MXM card.
