Touchscreen works in bios, f2 etc.  When i restart and log in, laptop has no touchscreen.  There is no touchscreen in HID device mgr.  Only Elan ExTouchFilter, and "other devices" - detection verification.  No idea what that is.  I've done every troubleshooter there is, f2 component test, bios update, all drivers are current.  Please advise

It's fixed.  I uninstalled elan eztouchfilter, deleted its software, restarted and it works now.
