HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg0000 (172Z8AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I'm using a laptop (Pavilion 15-eg0000) with an external Monitor (HP-527sh), which is connected via a HDMI-cable.

I have the following problem with the standby mode:

1. Turn on the laptop

-> laptop display is black and the external monitor shows the login screen.

2. After work I activate the standby mode with Windows + l keys

-> laptop and ext. monitor go into standby mode

3. Activating laptop with any key

-> laptop goes on and shows a black display, ext. monitor goes on and shows a black display

-> after 25s the laptop goes in standby mode again, ext. monitor remains in the on mode

4. Activating laptop with any key

-> laptop goes on and shows a black display, ext. monitor shows the login screen

I would like to know why the external monitor does not show an image when it is activated for the first time

regards

Achim

Hello,

I changed the input on the monitor from HDMI1 to HDMI2 and now the

standby mode works as desired. It seems to be a problem of the HDMI1 input.
