I am looking to order this dual HDMI adapter https://a.co/d/ivpk3Qx for my laptop. My system only has the Super Speed Type C and Super Speed Type A. I am concerned because the adapter says USB 3.0 as opposed to "type A". I already have a type c dock (Baseus 9 in 1), that I use for work, but when I plug my HP into the type C it does not send the signal to the either of my two HDMI monitors. (of note, my work laptop is a DELL and the type C is a thunderbolt).
If the above dual HDMI adapter will not work with the Super Speed type A, please advise of a low cost solution to accomplish this with my new HP laptop. My monitors are Viewsonic VA 2447 MH 24 full HD 1080 p 75hz.
Thank you all in advance for any help.

Your machine could be one of the following machine:
For example: HP Laptop 17-cn0017nb
It ONLY has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine,
- Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
For more connectivity, please use
True Universal Docking Stations
