Loaded Win 11 to Elite X2 G2. Worked for a while, then lost HID-compliant touch screen.

Reverted to Win 10, still no touch screen. Driver gone. Anyone have a copy of installation .CAB file for this computer's touch screen that I can install?

The only suggestion I can offer would be to reinstall the Intel Sensor Hub Components Driver, Intel Virtual Buttons Driver and the Intel Serial IO Driver from your notebook's support page and restart the PC.

Intel Sensor Hub Components Driver

sp95176.exe

Intel Virtual Buttons Driver

sp95246.exe

Intel Serial IO Driver

sp96954.exe

Tried your suggestion, but unfortunately, it did not work. Thank you for caring.

I think what I need is an original bootable copy of Windows 10 for the X2 G2 which includes the HID-compliant touch screen driver, i.e. start all over.

You're very welcome.

You can make a bootable USB recovery drive for your notebook with the HP cloud recovery client utility from the link below:

Cloud Recovery Client

sp153344.exe

Here's an info link for how to use the software.

Pay particular attention for how to automatically install the drivers.
